Why did you join PRSA and how does membership benefit you?
PRSA allows me to connect with other professionals in the industry, share ideas that I might be able to apply to my clients and continue to advance my education and skills.

Why/how did you chose a career in public relations?
At UNF, I drifted from majors in marketing, advertising and finally – public relations. I love the strategy behind marketing campaigns, the art that goes into advertising and the relationships that come with public relations. In the end, it was a great fit that satisfied all my passions.

What are you most looking forward to in your career?
It thrills me to think of all the things I’m going to learn in my future career. In college, you’re taught theory, concepts, principles, and in the very end, a small bit about executing real ideas. Working in the field brings an entirely different perspective. There are endless strategies, clients and personalities to work with, and each must be handled in different ways. The field is exciting to me because I will always continue to learn.

What’s your favorite part of working in public relations?
I’ve always been attracted to art, marketing and people. Public relations is a fantastic amalgam of each of these. I love the strategy behind it. It’s like navigating a puzzle: trying to find the best, most interesting and fun solutions that will connect audiences to a brand.
