Board members serve for one year, with the exception of directors, who serve for two consecutive years, and delegates, who serve for three years.&lt;br&gt;

The North Florida Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America - www.nfprsa.org - comprises more than 160 public relations practitioners in the greater Jacksonville, Tallahassee, Gainesville and South Georgia areas.&amp;nbsp; The Public Relations Society of America, headquartered in New York City, is the world's largest organization for public relations professionals with nearly 32,000 professional and student members. PRSA is organized into 109 Chapters and 10 Districts nationwide, and 19 Professional Interest Sections and Affinity Groups, which represent business and industry, counseling firms, independent practitioners, military, government, associations, hospitals, schools, professional services firms and nonprofit organizations. The Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) has 296 Chapters at colleges and universities throughout the United States, and one Chapter in Argentina.&lt;br&gt;

			<description>     FOR IMMEDATE RELEASE   October 27, 2008      LOCAL PR EXECUTIVE NAMED TO NATIONAL ASSOCIATION BOARD OF DIRECTORS    JACKSONVILLE, Fla. &#8211; The North Florida Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) is pleased to announce that its current chapter president, Kathy Barbour, APR, has been named to PRSA&#8217;s national board of directors.    Barbour follows a tradition of national involvement in PRSA by the North Florida Chapter. Bonnie Upright, APR, CEO of Upright Public Relations, is Chair of PRSA&#8217;s Sunshine District, and Del Galloway, APR, Fellow PRSA, former partner of Husk, Jennings, Galloway and Robinson, served as national PRSA President in 2004.    The 17-member board of directors manages and controls the business affairs of PRSA. Members of the board are PRSA&#8217;s national officers, consisting of four officers and 12 directors.
