User-generated content has defined the current generation of Web 2.0 sites. However, as PR professionals, it can be a struggle to move companies or clients toward this new technology. And once they are there, how do you manage the message and protect your client's reputation?
Marvin DeJean is the Senior Vice President of Poweri Technologies, Inc, and President/CEO at Markom Industries. He is the president-elect of the Gulfstream PRSA Chapter.

Marvin Dejean is senior vice president of Media Strategies at POWERi Technologies, a fully interactive marketing and digital public relations firm in Fort Lauderdale where he leads the interactive and digital public relations initiatives.
Dejean provides strategic direction to various multi-national companies seeking to tap into the ever growing need for digital and interactive campaigns. He provides strategic intelligence to companies such as TEMPO, Regent Cruise Lines, The Children's Services Council, and the Caribbean Tourism Organization to help them develop online strategies using social media, digital public relations and online reputation management

Prior to working at POWERi, Dejean served as the vice president of PR for Innovative Communications Corporation where he handled all marketing strategies for the company's expansion throughout the Caribbean.
Dejean is also the co-founder of Minority Development & Empowerment/Caribbean Community Center, the largest private not-for profit organization serving the Haitian and Caribbean communities in Broward County. Dejean is the host of his own television commentary show entitled "Caribbean Pulse" on Island TV in Miami.
